Lithium battery and BMS diagnosis
A battery that stops charging, reports an alarm or supplies less operating time needs assessment in the context of the complete system. BTC Energy Solutions S.A.R.L. reviews the reported fault, battery condition, cell readings, BMS information and connection to the equipment or inverter before discussing appropriate repair options.
The workshop also carries out battery testing and reconditioning, stud and busbar welding, and custom enclosure work. Which of these is relevant depends on the actual fault and battery design; replacing a part or adding a balancer is not an automatic solution for every battery.
What to send before arranging an assessment
Accessible labels and screens are enough to begin your enquiry; you do not need to open the battery. Contact our Hadath, Jamous workshop to discuss the next step and the assessment appropriate to your case.
- Photos of the battery label and the device, vehicle, charger or inverter model, with any visible alarm or error code.
- A description of when the fault occurs: while charging, under load or during an outage, and how the battery is used.
- Any available BMS screenshots, with the conditions in which they were taken, and details of recent changes to the system.
What should I clarify before approving a repair?
Before approving work, ask for the assessment findings, proposed work and components requiring attention or replacement. Clarify how suitability for the equipment and charger or inverter will be reviewed, and discuss the price, expected timing and any warranty terms offered for your particular case. A similar enclosure or nominal voltage alone does not establish that a replacement pack is suitable.

Repair, maintenance or replacement?
Maintenance covers inspection and servicing of an installed system; repair addresses a diagnosed fault; replacement is considered when the battery or component is not suitable for repair. The right path depends on the assessment, not on a generic rule.
For a solar system, maintenance may include the inverter, battery, connections and solar input. A fault code or a single reading is not enough to decide the work.
Solar system maintenance and retrofit
BTC Energy Solutions S.A.R.L. reviews existing solar systems for maintenance, fault diagnosis, battery replacement, inverter replacement and upgrades. The existing equipment and the intended change are reviewed together.
A maintenance visit is not automatically a repair or an upgrade. The findings, proposed work and any replacement parts are discussed before approval.
Frequently asked questions
Can every lithium battery be repaired?
No. We handle enquiries across small and large lithium applications, but repair suitability depends on the damage, cells, components, pack design and the requirements of the equipment. BTC Energy Solutions S.A.R.L. discusses the findings and relevant options after assessing the exact case.
Does lithium battery servicing always mean replacing the cells?
Servicing or repair does not automatically mean replacing the cells. The battery condition, fault, cell readings, BMS and equipment compatibility are reviewed first. Suitable repair or reconditioning work is discussed after assessment; an alternative pack may be considered when repair is unsuitable.
Do similar cell voltages prove that the battery is healthy?
A single screenshot of similar voltages does not prove equal cell capacity, remaining battery life or the cause of a fault. Readings need context, including current, temperature, alarms and behaviour over time.
Can I enquire about a battery already connected to an inverter?
Yes. Send both model labels and describe the problem. Reviewing the inverter, battery and any BMS communication requirements together helps define the assessment for the installed system.
Do you repair solar and energy-storage batteries?
Yes. Solar and storage batteries are assessed for their cells, BMS and inverter connection before repair is discussed. Suitability and scope depend on the actual condition and model; an outcome is not assumed in advance.
Can the cells be replaced without changing the whole battery?
Cell replacement may be possible in some cases, but it is not decided before reviewing the pack design, cell condition, BMS and the requirements of the equipment and charger. We discuss whether cell replacement, reconditioning or an alternative pack is appropriate for your case.
Do you repair and configure BMS?
BMS faults and configuration are reviewed as part of the assessment, including readings, alarms and communication with the inverter. What can be repaired, reset or configured depends on the model, the fault and the availability of the relevant documentation; the scope is explained before approval.
Can I visit the workshop from Beirut or Baabda?

What is the difference between repair and maintenance?
Maintenance is the inspection and servicing of an installed system. Repair addresses a diagnosed fault. The assessment determines which is appropriate; maintenance is not automatically a repair.
Can you maintain a solar system as well as the battery?
Yes. Existing solar systems are reviewed for maintenance, fault diagnosis, battery or inverter replacement and upgrades. Send the equipment labels and describe the issue so the scope can be assessed.
When is replacement considered instead of repair?
Replacement may be considered when the battery or component is not suitable for repair, when the required parts are unavailable, or when the application needs a different specification. The assessment explains the relevant options before a decision.
